Kentucky Mesonet News

The Kentucky Farm Bureau recently highlighted the Kentucky Mesonet on its "Across Kentucky" radio network. Mike Feldhaus, producer of "Across Kentucky," interviewed Dr. Stuart Foster, director of the Kentucky Climate Center and Kentucky Mesonet, about an award of $105,250 from the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund (KADF). The award to the Western Kentucky University Research Foundation will fund critical upgrades to the Kentucky Mesonet infrastructure throughout Kentucky. This award will enable deployment of new modems and relative humidity probes across statewide network. New precipitation gauges will be installed at selected sites. The Kentucky Climate Center will work with its Kentucky Mesonet sponsors to secure matching funds required as a condition of the KADF award. Click here for more details.
